Introduction :
Relative position changes are transmitted to the control system as square wave pulses for precise positioning or speed measurement. Signals travel via two phase-shifted channels (A and B); comparing their phase relationship determines rotation direction (e.g., CW viewed from load side toward shaft). Controllers evaluate rising/falling edges, quadrupling resolution through quadrature decoding with pulse counts. Homing establishes absolute position using the zero channel I pulse as a reference for rotation angle. Integrated line drivers sharpen edges for better quality, generate complementary A/B/I signals, and use differential transmission to eliminate interference.
